What You’ll Be Doing...

Verizon is looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial, highly motivated Sr. Mgr - Software Architecture for developing Managed security solutions in the Technology and Product development organization. This portfolio includes SASE, Software Defined Perimeter, Network Detection and Response, the Managed Security Services platform/services, as well as the Atlas platform and any other new/additional platform product initiatives for the VBG Cyber security product domain spanning the 5 NIST cybersecurity pillars of identify, Protect, Detect, Respond and Recover. This role includes the development of new products and incremental features as well as overall lifecycle management of the existing products and services.

This role will also be responsible for defining the end to end solution architecture for the Australian SAGE platform and coordination with all business and external stakeholders.

Role will require a strong entrepreneurial attitude who can ideate, collaborate, design, solution, and architect managed security products working with internally developed solutions and vendor solutions. The candidate should be able to work in an agile environment across stakeholder organizations (including Software development teams, Product Management, Product Engineering, Security Operations, Network design teams, back office systems, Customers, Sales and partner’s). The role requires cross-functional communication and decision making in order to drive business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and manage a team of Project Managers, Developers & testers in delivering high quality solutions that inspire and exceed stakeholder expectations.
• Partnering with stakeholder organizations to define and align on product roadmaps, priority and delivery dates
• Delivery of solutions to ensure timely communication, implementation, delivery and support.
• Responsible for the overall execution of all software development projects including schedule, budget, and quality of deliverables.
• Driving technology, operational and cost innovation within the team and with broader stakeholders.
• Understanding and interpret business strategy, including design, to improve applications in collaboration with organization goals.
• Participating in requirements gathering from clients to establish product requirements and work with the development team on estimations.
• Working with internal organizations to analyze, design, develop, test to ensure applications meet availability, performance, capacity, and security requirements and guidelines.
• Ensuring new applications and infrastructure components adhere to defined architectural requirements and standards--guide the evolution of new technologies to support the requirements of new systems and business initiatives.
• Identifying new opportunities for integrating our Security capabilities and technology within other products sold by Verizon Consumer and Business Groups to enhance and differentiate existing products offerings and/or create new ones for the evolving customer needs in Security and Privacy.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
