About the Role

This is not a run of the mill ‘business as usual’ role. You’ll be joining a fast growing start-up that’s backed by a major bank, giving you the opportunity to grow your career as we do. This role is both a leader and a doer, working with the Head of Finance to build and run the financial control function with responsibility for external financial reporting.   

Here are some capabilities you’ll have in your kit bag and others you’ll learn along the way:

• Drive the implementation and maintenance of financial policies, processes and controls, ensuring compliance with legal and tax obligations and keeping the company safe
• Lead and grow a high performing team, including coaching and talent acquisition
• Manage and optimise the end-to-end supplier payment, payroll and financial reporting processes and systems
• Successfully manage key Finance vendor relationships, including auditors and tax agents
• Work collaboratively with business and technology teams to implement enhancements to the product platform and finance systems
• Efficiently and effectively prepare Financial Statements and ATO/ payroll tax returns
