Senior Financial Accountant

Description:

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, this newly created role plays a key position within the finance team. The primary objectives are to take a leading role in the financial accounting, statutory accounting, and taxation areas for the organisation and strengthening the balance sheet through working capital management.

You will also assist and support financial & tax compliance activities and assist with ensuring that this company complies with changes to accounting regulations, standards and legislation. Involvement in financial projects within the financial accounting team and more broadly across the business will also occur. Knowledgeable in IFRS with strong technical experience gained within either the profession and/or a medium to large corporate desirable.

CA/CPA qualified, this position requires problem solving utilising skills in a number of areas including technical skill in accounting, computer user skills, analytical and assessment skills, financial reporting, interpretative, evaluative and constructive and creative thinking. You will strive for continuous improvement in the quality system and work practices by being alert to opportunities for improvement and suggesting solutions.
