We've partnered with a global organisation with a strong presence in Brisbane to find their next Senior Financial Accountant. This is full-time permanent opportunity located close to the CBD would suit a CA/CPA qualified professional who's looking for their first step out of a Big4/mid-tier firm.

With a strong track record in developing, supporting and retaining their staff, the Finance Manager is looking for a technically strong candidate who wants to join their fun and friendly team. About the role

Utilise your strong technical knowledge and be responsible for the financial accounting function with the support of the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Co-ordination and preparation of half year and full year consolidated financial statements.
• Completion of all month-end duties including but not limited to; review and posting of journals, review of trial balances, balance sheet reconciliations and responding to month end queries.
• Interpreting changes to new accounting standards and providing technical advice on their application.
• Assisting with the preparation and calculation of tax obligations including FBT, BAS & Payroll tax.
• Acting as a key point of contact for external auditors and responding to audit queries as and when needed.

• Contributing to process implementation and improvements to deliver increased efficiency and enhanced financial control.

What you'll need

You'll be somebody who is comfortable with all facets of financial and corporate accounting, with a particularly strong skillset in monthly financial reporting and the preparation of statutory annual accounts. In addition to this you'll ideally have the following:

• A Bachelor of Accounting, Finance or other related discipline
• CA/CPA Australia qualification with ongoing membership
• At least 3 years post graduate experience
