We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst - Capital/Strategic Projects to join our dynamic and growing business. Reporting to the Finance Manager - Supply Chain, you will be an integral player to support the function with a focus on capital strategy, planning, analysis and governance. This role will support the business by providing key financial, accounting and business data analysis, advice and recommendations in relation to capital management and strategic projects.

 


Lead and coordinate the analysis, planning, budgeting and end of month reporting processes for capital. Ensure effective governance and controls are in place. Evaluate new business opportunities across various business units by developing business cases and analysing proposals.

What will you do

  • Provide best in class business partnering, value adding to Capital, Business Development and various project Steer groups
  • Support Capital, Business Development and total Supply Chain in development of capital initiatives and strategic projects
  • Implement efficient and effective financial planning, reporting and processes
  • Accountable for delivery of weekly, EOM, forecasts, budgets, LRP and strategic plans for Capital
  • Provide insightful, timely and accurate reporting for Capital, with a focus on ensuring performance drivers are understood, business wide implications are clearly articulated, and gap measures are identified
  • Actively contribute to business as usual and strategic discussions with Capital and Business Development managers to increase profitability, maximise financial returns and deliver on agreed targets
  • Provide input and support into the asset road map strategy and prioritization matrix for capital spend
  • Build internal relationships across the business to help facilitate information flow and decision making
  • Comply with all legislative / statutory obligations and company policies
  • Oversee capital governance (approvals, overspends, capitalisations and disposals) and post-capital audit programs for Supply Chain
  • Work with the manager and the Supply Chain Finance Central team to develop a level of proficiency in core Central team processes to enable back-up and support for other team members in busy periods and as a contingency plan
  • Work with Supply Chain Finance Central team to identify and champion improvement opportunities for the Central and broader Supply Chain Finance team

To be successful in this role, you must have a growth mindset, a strong commercial focus with proven experience in developing budgets and monthly reporting and planning. You will possess both strong communication and presentation skills, coupled with analytical methodologies you can apply. You will have a passion for excellence and be outcome orientated with a desire to drive improvements and streamline reports and processes where possible. You will be inquisitive and enjoy interacting with the wider business by nature and operate well in a team environment. A strong financial background and experience in financial planning and analysis would be viewed favourably.

  • Experience in Supply Chain within FMCG advantageous
  • Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial information systems, JDE/SAP preferred
  • A high level of experience in business case development
  • Experience with EOM, budget / strategy process
  • Able to meet deadlines and influence others to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail whilst seeing the big picture
  • Strong financial analysis, modelling and forecasting skills
