Senior Exhibition Designer

We have an exciting opportunity to work in the exhibition design team for eleven months (with a possible extension) at Queensland Museum Network.
The role will be based at the Museum of Tropical Queensland in Townsville, however there will be opportunities to work on projects at one of our other two regional campuses.
Design projects include permanent and temporary exhibitions and other displays.The software used is Vectorworks, Sketchup and the Adobe Creative Suite. The design output includes (but is not limited to) creating floorplans, elevations, 3D model renders and finished design documentation for quoting and construction by both an internal workshop team as well as external suppliers.
The senior exhibition designer works closely with (amongst others) project managers, curators, conservators, collection managers, graphic designers and the construction/ preparatory team. Experience working with and directing these teams (where appropriate) is highly desirable.

A qualification in a related design discipline eg. Architecture, interior or industrial design is desirable or agreed equivalent experience (as determined by the Chief Executive).
