A global commerce platform has partnered with Davidson looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join a dedicated team of professionals in a Senior capacity. Our client is a leading provider of payment solutions for businesses that serves a global stakeholder base.

About the Role

You will provide technical leadership, change, consulting and subject matter expertise across multiple technologies and practices, helping to meet customer requirements for rapid service delivery, reliability, and innovation. You’ll also be required to work in tandem with key stakeholders, vendors (or their representatives) and other IT Teams or experts.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

• Designing and maintaining cloud-native platforms (including AWS) and the rapidly growing Kubernetes environment
• Actively contributing and guiding the innovation in DevOps practices, looking to incorporate agile delivery approaches
• The promotion and advocacy of changes to software engineering and operations with the adoption of new technologies
• Delivering technical consultancy and subject matter expertise to solution projects (including pre-project) to make sure all risks and exceptions are identified and escalated if need be

About You

To perform the responsibilities at a consistently high standard you’ll be able to show:

• Senior-level experience in complex Cloud Native environments (AWS and Azure)
• Specialist knowledge in at least one of the following: Python, PowerShell, or Bash, with a focus on automating processes and workflows
• Senior-level knowledge of software technologies and patterns and Infrastructure as Code technologies (Ansible, Terraform)
• Experience with AWS services (EKS, RDS, EC2, IAM, Lambda, VPC)
• Knowledge of containerisation tools (Docker/ECS/K8s) GitOp
