Description:
Reporting to the Manager Vendor Performance, the Senior Technology Contract Specialist, is a member of the vendor management team responsible for managing the successful delivery of technology goods and services agreements between the organization and its technology suppliers. You will develop and oversee the delivery of expert vendor and contract management services and procurement advice, aligned to the Company's strategic priorities and operational policies, to prevent harm to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste.
This is a senior role for a professional with extensive experience managing IT vendors and contracts that wants to contribute to the success of the organization as it enters a new era of environmental protection in Victoria. Working closely with the Manager, Vendor Performance, you will actively contribute to a positive organisational culture and achieve the highest standards of performance and integrity; fostering genuine partnerships across all levels of government, industry, and community to support organisational outcomes.
Key selection criteria
- Experience and qualifications
- A relevant tertiary degree in law, business, or information technology is desirable.
- 5 or more years' experience in managing IT vendor and/or contract performance, compliance, costs and relationships, preferably within Government.
- Knowledge and skills
- Extensive knowledge of the IT contract lifecycle, regulatory and legal
- Demonstrated capabilities in developing and executing performance vendor management plans, contract compliance programs, vendor governance frameworks and service sourcing strategies.
- CIPS / MSPIS qualifications would be well
- Proven ability to apply relevant government legislation, regulations, reporting directives and procedures, to achieve optimal organisational outcomes.
- A broad understanding of environmental regulation as it relates to pollution and waste is desirable.
