Senior Consultant

We are currently seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Channel Dynamics team for a full-time position based in either our Sydney or Melbourne office. We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated market research experience, preferably in the healthcare field and with knowledge of syndicated research approaches. The successful candidate will possess excellent project management capabilities, strategic thinking, and strong analytical and communication skills, along with the ability to thrive in a culture of achievement.

IQVIA’s ChannelDynamics team is the industry gold standard in providing strategic insights and data to the life sciences industry on promotional and sales force effectiveness. The ChannelDynamics team works closely with IQVIA’s broader Real-World Solutions division, to offer connected intelligence based on a range of integrated data and research services.

The Senior Consultant participates actively in delivering strategic insights to clients by leading relationships at nominated client accounts, ensuring excellence in project delivery, managing large scale syndicated research studies, identifying and elevating new business opportunities, and coaching and mentoring junior team members.

The Senior Consultant’s roles and responsibilities include:
 

• Project management of large-scale syndicated market research studies, including oversight of fieldwork operations, data cleaning and processing, reporting and delivery
• Account management for assigned clients, including project delivery, service excellence, securing ongoing business and identifying new leads and opportunities
• Designing and delivering client reports and presentations that are appropriate to the needs of the audience
• Contributing to initiatives to drive operational efficiency through continuous process improvement
• Providing direction and guidance to analysts, consultants, and offshore teams to develop core analytical, client and project management skills
• Proactive identification of opportunities to enhance quality of insights and develop new offerings and services

About you:

• Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred (Master's degree)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in market research, preferably within healthcare industry
• Demonstrates a strong command of analytical and market research techniques including strong understanding of quantitative research methodologies; expertise in syndicated research approaches advantageous
• Proven analytical, interpretative and problem-solving skills
• Excellent presentation, communication and client influencing skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and excellent IT literacy e.g. Word, PowerPoint
• Grasps key issues quickly, understands the 'big picture', and links market research insights to larger business issues relevant to client needs
• Experienced with developing consultative relationships with senior level managers and executives at clients in the life science industry
• Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals
