We are seeking a bright and motivated Senior Consultant for a full-time position based in our Sydney or Melbourne office to join our primary market research team. We are looking for a candidate with outstanding strategic thinking, expertise in behavioural economics and strong analytical and communication skills along with the ability to thrive in a culture of achievement. The Senior Consultant participates actively in delivering strategic insights to our clients by leading and executing primary market research studies and developing our thought leadership actively. The successful candidate is responsible for the on-time completion of projects and will identify and elevate potential new business opportunities.

The Senior Consultant’s roles and responsibilities include:
 

  • Participates or leads customised, primary market research studies from inception to conclusion
  • Performs and executes both qualitative and quantitative market research and works closely with both senior and junior team members on execution of market research
  • Works closely with senior management to select appropriate research methodologies, design research, conduct insightful analysis, and deliver strategic insights
  • Provides direction and guidance to Analysts, Consultants, and where relevant, to Statistical Services assigned to engagement
  • Designs, structures and delivers client reports and presentations that are appropriate to the characteristics and needs of the audience
  • Identifies new business opportunities of follow-on work and new leads at assigned client

About you:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred (Master's degree or PhD)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in market research, preferably within healthcare
  • Demonstrates a strong command of a variety of analytical and market research techniques including strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies; expertise in behavioural economics preferred
  • Grasps key issues quickly, understands the 'big picture', and links market research insights to larger business issues relevant to client needs
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills and is effective in a variety of presentation settings
  • Experienced with developing consultative relationships with senior level managers and executives at clients in the life science industry
  • Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals
  • Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint, Q Professional preferred
