The Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity (ACLEI) is an independent agency within the Attorney-General’s Portfolio, established to support the Integrity Commissioner in carrying out his or her responsibilities for detecting, investigating and preventing corrupt conduct in Australian Government agencies with law enforcement functions. The Integrity Commissioner has extensive powers, including the ability to hold coercive hearings, and ACLEI investigative staff are able to use a range of law enforcement powers to assist in the Integrity Commissioner’s investigations.

About the role

The Senior Communications and Production Adviser is responsible for supporting the Media and Communications team to provide internal and external communications services through the design, production and delivery of high-quality, engaging, accessible and dynamic graphics, products and publications for print and digital channels.

We are seeking someone who is multi-skilled and self-motivated with high attention to detail. The successful candidate will have the ability to work autonomously with limited guidance as the sole go-to expert for design and production related services at ACLEI.

The successful candidate will have a strong background working within multi-disciplinary communications and marketing teams to provide end-to-end services and business area support.

The Senior Communications and Production Adviser will work under limited guidance from the Assistant Director, Media and Communications, within the Prevention and Engagement Branch.

Key activities:

  • Support the implementation of internal and external communication strategies through the creation of high-quality, engaging, accessible and dynamic graphics, products and publications for print and digital channels.
  • Provide end-to-end services to support business areas and external stakeholders including graphic design, digital and print publication design, video production, as well as animation creation, photography, and podcasts/audio recording services as required.
  • Develop content for the ACLEI website, ACLEI intranet, and social media channels.
  • Transform text heavy content and complex data into visually appealing infographics, flowcharts, fact sheets, videos, or podcast episodes.
  • Develop and maintain corporate templates, branded assets and collateral, design files, imagery and graphics library, and equipment.
  • Provide advice to staff on branding, styling, formatting and written communication.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver various projects, and craft and present design solutions in a clear, concise and articulate manner.
  • Ensure deliverables meet the ACLEI brand guidelines and best practice standards, including the Australian Government Branding Guidelines, Style Manual, Digital Service Standard, and the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
  • Proactively identify issues and opportunities for ACLEI, and present new and creative ideas to enhance the agency’s reputation.
  • Provide technical advice and support for running webinars and the ACLEI website.
  • Support ACLEI’s anti-corruption activities including the design and development of presentations, submissions, publications, products, events, and other activities.
  • Provide other communications related support as required to the Media and Communications team such as web publishing, evaluating and reporting on communications outputs and outcomes, and project management.
  • Provide other operational and administrative support as required to the Media and Communications team and more broadly across the agency.
