Your new role
They're looking for a Senior Communications Adviser to help create engaging content that informs audiences internally and externally about what they are striving towards and what they have achieved. You will be responsible for:

  • delivering strategic communications support for key projects and initiatives as well as Renewal SA’s corporate communications
  • developing and implementing effective communication plans and campaigns for Renewal SA projects, programs and initiatives
  • writing across a variety of activities and channels including as EOIs, strategic documents, news articles, EDMs, presentations, speeches, briefing notes, websites and social media
  • supporting the Senior Media Advisor in managing media enquiries and responses and developing positive media stories when required.

What you'll need to succeed
They are looking for someone with exceptional writing skills and demonstrated experience in writing for a variety of channels and audiences. While some of the work requires a professional and more corporate writing style, you should also be able to craft compelling narrative and come up with engaging marketing copy.

Being able to research and evaluate information, critically and accurately, grasp the core of complex or ambiguous problems and analyse and summarise key issues in order to develop key messages and a well thought through communications plan is a key skill.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to foster and maintain strong relationships with people right across the organisation.

You will be working on multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously and need to be able to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines whilst still being available to offer expert advice and support to those around you. Ideally you have qualifications in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or Marketing coupled with substantial on the job experience. A mix of private and government experience will be highly regarded.
