The Senior Brand and Marketing Manager reports to the Head of Brand and Marketing and under their direction assists in strategy development, business partnering, brand management, project management, creative development, end-to-end marketing activity execution, and performance reporting across multiple university-wide portfolios, including International Recruitment, Global Engagement (including Trans-National Education partnerships, Vocational Education and Training, and Research.

This position requires a high level of communication and collaboration with senior internal and external stakeholders. Under the broad direction of the Head of Brand and Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), the Senior Brand and Marketing Manager works to manage strategic partnerships and external vendor relationships to achieve best practice business solutions and key customer and brand objectives.

This position actively seeks opportunities for system and service improvements by keeping up to date with local and international market developments and standards and ensures the collection and analysis of relevant statistics and analytical data to drive decision-making and innovation. This position actively participates in strategic planning across the wider Marketing team.

The Senior Brand and Marketing Manager manages, mentors and develops an extended professional marketing team of up to four direct reports, including an international-centric journey squad, with clear career and/or succession planning objectives and a positive culture of giving and receiving constructive feedback.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a senior marketing role – and achieving successful outcomes – for a large and complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, managing, and delivering marketing activities across numerous disciplines, segments, channels and markets.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading end-to-end marketing outcomes within scope, time, and budget.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a successful and highly-motivated team to deliver high-quality outputs to tight deadlines and within budget.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills including evidence of building credibility and high levels of trust and confidence with colleagues and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in marketing or communications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
