Senior Apex Developer

We're looking for a senior (10+ years experience) Oracle Application Express developer to join our team to assist with the design, development & deployment of a brand new suite of SaaS applications - all built with APEX. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is capable and willing to work remotely now and after in-person office restrictions are relaxed. The candidate will also be comfortable with full-cycle design and standards-based development. Experience with data modeling, PL/SQL, JavaScript and general web development are definitely required. Experience with a DevOps pipeline using Jira & Git is preferred, but not required.

Daily tasks will be focused around working with the product team to transform requirements into specifications and then transforming those specifications into a working APEX application. You'll be building APEX applications on the latest release of APEX, and will be required to write backend PL/SQL code using a suite of APIs to compliment the applications. An extreme emphasis is placed on security, and every bit of code created will be scrutinized for vulnerabilities. Depending on the requirement, it's possible that you'll also need to understand how to interact with RESTful web services in the context of APEX.

Minimum qualifications include the following:

• Minimum 10 years of Oracle Application Express experience is required

• Minimum 10 years of experience working with most of the following (OK if you are less experienced on a couple):
  • Oracle Database
  • Data Modeling
  • PL/SQL
  • HTML
  • Web Development
  • JavaScript
  • JSON / RESTful Web Services
  • Version Control (Git preferred, but not required)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with individuals across the organization
• Experience working with Agile development frameworks
• Experience with working remote
