Senior Accountant

 

Description:

As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for preparing management reports, cashflow statements, KPI reporting for clients and reviewing all compliance work prepared by junior accountants as well.

The Key Responsibilities Of This Position Includes
 

  • Oversee all aspects of accounting including financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Supervise junior members of the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Preparing/reviewing IAS, BAS, FBT, End of Year Workpapers and Tax Returns
  • Responsible for developing and sustaining relationships with a diverse range of clients by going above and beyond what is required.
     

About You
 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public practice
  • CA/CPA qualified or in the process of completing.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Strong technical background and inquisitive mind, providing in-depth analysis and willingness to challenging 'the figures' as second nature.
  • Proven client-facing experience, with a track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency in Xero preferred.
  • Experience with supervising junior team members.
