The role holder is responsible for providing a welcoming environment as they are the first point of contact for visitors and internal staff. The role holder must project a professional image at all times in their personal appearance and manner.

The focus of the role is one of attitude and personal attributes, requiring the role holder to possess a helpfulness of spirit, flexibility and excellent skills in an environment where there is a great deal of personal interaction. Confidentiality and loyalty to the office and staff must be observed in all matters handled.

The School Secretary - Main Reception is often the first contact for visitors to the office via telephone or in person. Patience, courtesy, understanding, an approachable manner and initiative are qualities to be exercised. The role also requires a strong multi-tasker who is able to prioritise effectively.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
 

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
