School Grounds Person

We are seeking a School Grounds Person - Non-trade qualified employee who will be responsible for a broad range of tasks including cleaning, building and grounds maintenance. More specifically you will:

• Operate, maintain and adjust turf machinery under general supervision
• Conduct non-specialised repair work
• Undertake general gardening tasks including preparation and planting procedures
• Apply fertilisers, fungicides, herbicides and insecticides under general supervision;
• Provide assistance to qualified tradespersons in building maintenance;
• Undertake any other duties as requested by the Principal and/or Principal’s Delegate. This may include operation of the school’s security system when commencing/finishing a shift.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Follow direction, prioritise and meet set deadlines
• Demonstrating interpersonal skills in working with a range of personnel
• Supporting the mission, teachings and ethos of the Catholic Church’s work in schools.
