The Estate and Built Environment (EBE) Directorate is responsible for buildings/infrastructure, grounds and facility services across UNE properties and is part of the Integrated Services Portfolio. Estate and Built Environment consists of the units of Operational Services, Project Delivery and Asset Services.
About the role*
The Scheduling and Events Coordinator is part of a small team responsible for organising the day-to-day operational activities associated with the production, publishing and maintenance of the University academic timetable(s), as well as the coordination and operational oversight of event bookings on the UNE Armidale Campus. The role will also provide high level system support, database management, system monitoring and the development and ongoing maintenance of systems, processes and projects.
Other responsibilities will involve regular data system updates, data integrity, system imports, reporting and resolving issues to ensure strict deadlines are met; creating timetables for all teaching modes (on campus and/or online) based on course progression, staff availability and teaching space requirements; dealing with various stakeholders to appropriately assign resources and coordinate allocations of both staff and students, create and manipulate reports and monitor availability of teaching activities using relevant software applications. The position reports to the Scheduling Manager and operates under their general direction.
The right candidate will be systems focussed, data driven and have exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to use critical thinking skills to problem solve, will work well as part of a team and independently and have a positive 'can do' attitude.
