The Role

As part of the SBS Marketing Department, Media Planning & Analytics team plays a key role in contributing to the delivery of SBS’s distinctive content. This position is a full-time 6-month contract within one of the Channel Teams which handles broadcast schedules, promotional campaign planning and placement, and other operational tasks related to SBS’s linear channels.

Reporting into the Channel Lead within our MPA team this role will see you:

  • Take the lead on all operational aspects of the transmission schedule preparation and delivery for broadcast;
  • Plan promo campaign placement and execute on the media plan;
  • Create media records of traffic elements and promos, schedule events and apply commercial templates to match detailed program rundowns;
  • Liaise with Media Sales and ensure correct placement of commercials in the transmission schedules;
  • Debrief logs after transmission;
  • Work on promo campaigns to assist the Campaign Manager as required.

It is a requirement of this role that incumbents are vaccinated with at least two doses and the booster of an approved Covid-19 vaccination. We do however have a medical exemption process and we would be happy to discuss your application should this be applicable to you.

About you

  • A background in broadcast operations in a similar role is desirable;
  • Hands on experience with IBMS, program and TX schedules is a great advantage;
  • A keen eye to detail, strong communication and organisational skills are a must;
