The Role

The purpose of the Salon BDM’s role is to drive new salon growth agenda, by developing a vision for new salon stores in locations aligned to the brand positioning. Growth can come from within or outside the network, through partnering with passionate and entrepreneurial partners. You will manage the new business franchise process through building and maintaining strong relationships and effective cross function collaboration within the company.

Key Responsibilities

New salon franchise strategy and plan:

  • Plan and deliver a new salon growth annual plan and achieve franchise business and conversion targets.
  • Work with Marketing to develop a marketing plan that delivers a pipeline of new business leads.
  • Work with Education and Sales team to drive “growth from within” Ella Bache to determine a pipeline of partners.
  • Develop a vision for new salon locations that reflect the brand positioning in the Australian market
  • Work with landlords, leasing agents, tenant agents to identify and negotiate the right lease agreements and or previous salon sites that can be re- branded to join the brands network.


Manage the new business franchise process:
 

  • Manage new business queries and develop leads into franchisees by executing the Franchise recruitment process.
  • Evaluate and approve all franchisees and franchise sites to ensure profitable, stable franchises.
  • Oversee the opening of new franchise sites including site selection, interviewing and assessing the eligibility of candidates according to criteria and recruiting within budget.
  • Assist existing Franchisees and distributors who wish to sell their business.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders within the leasing, franchise, salon industry, beauty colleges or other partnerships to enable the growth plan to commercialise
  • Ensure an understanding and adherence of all standards set by the franchising code of conduct.
  • Meet or exceed all revenue and financial targets
  • Manage and develop all department members to ensure they are motivated, inspired and coached
  • Ensure effective cross functional collaboration to drive outcomes against KPI’s.
