My client is a very successful national provider of workshop equipment in Australia. Due to the increased growth of the business as well as product demand, they are looking for an experienced salesperson to join their highly successful, customer focussed and driven sales team.

This position plays an integral role in this busy business where they are proud of and focussed on the exceptional customer service they provide their along with quality products to the automotive, road transport, rail and heavy industry workshops.

You will become part of a 'cracking' culture and team that possess a professional and can-do attitude which resonates throughout every staff member in whole business and makes any new staff member feel welcome and supported.


You will report to a Manager with a structured style and strong mentoring skill. He has a proven track record of building very successful sales people throughout this business & gets no better pleasure than to watch you succeed in your new role.

The salesperson will plan and execute scheduled call plans introducing and selling products, goods and services to existing and new customers. You will work with existing customers to find out what they want, create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process. You will find your new sales leads, through business directories, client referrals, cold calling, etc.

This full-time onsite role will include providing a full range of sales responsibilities including:

  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Analyse the territory/market's potential, track sales and status reports
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback

This position will suit you if you have good communication and presentation skills, and sound customer service & sales experience. You will be team orientated and need to be self-directed and have organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven work experience as a sales representative - Industry knowledge preferred but not necessary
  • Good knowledge of MS Office & be technically savvy
  • Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices along with ability to build and manage productive business professional relationships
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
  • Prioritising, time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Full Australian Drivers Licence
