What we are looking for: 

The Sales Specialist, Wiley Digital Archives is responsible for developing and driving sales of Wiley Digital Archives (WDA) in Australia and New Zealand directly as well as additional sales of Wiley content as required in the region. The person works proactively to identify and develop a pipeline of opportunities will support sales activity including prospect identification and development and customer facing activities like delivery of pitches and correlated presentations. The role is also responsible for pilot & trial management and monitoring and reporting key customer metrics.

How you will make an impact: 

  • A sound understanding of the broader learning, education and publishing markets.
  • Excellent oral presentation skills are essential.
  • An understanding of primary research products or prior archives selling experience is highly desired.
  • Must be able to research and analyse markets, including client and opportunity identification, qualification and development of leads in association with Sales leaders and local teams.
  • Ability to think strategically, evaluate business needs and problems and prioritize activities, using judgement to differentiate between important and urgent.
  • Ability to support the wider sales team with lead generation activities and provide sales support.
  • The role requires a strong team player with excellent inter-personal skills and sensitivity to different cultures.
  • The post-holder must be able to undertake frequent travel.

Who you are: 

  • Undergraduate degree, or equivalent work experience or history graduate or degree in humanities & social sciences.
  • 2+ years’ experience in the digital archive or licenced content sales.
  • Knowledge of digital products and sales workflows. Demonstrated success in academic, library or research markets.
  • Experience interacting with customers.
  • Ability to travel within the region multiple times per quarter is necessary.
