Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven, Australian-based Sales Director to lead our sales efforts within the Australian mining sector. The Sales Director will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, driving revenue growth, and expanding market share in Australia. This role requires a strong understanding of the mining industry, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in driving sales within the mining technology space.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Take the lead in Cascadia's sales endeavors in Australia with assistance from the Canadian team. This role involves overseeing the entire sales process from start to finish, including:
- Prospect and identify potential new clients in the Australian mining market through thorough research and analysis.
- Develop and execute strategic outreach initiatives to engage with prospective clients and introduce them to Cascadia's solutions.
- Organizing and coordinating meetings, presentations, and demonstrations either on-site or through virtual platforms like Microsoft Teams
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that drive long-term partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the mining industry, including mining companies, contractors, and industry associations.
- Collaborate closely with the product development and marketing teams to align sales initiatives with product offerings and marketing campaigns.
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management to inform strategic planning.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, competitor activities, and regulatory changes, adjusting sales strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, networking with potential clients and promoting our solutions
Required Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Software Sales Tools: Proven experience with software sales tools such as Salesforce, Salesloft, Vidyard, Zoominfo, and similar platforms is necessary. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in utilizing these tools to drive sales and enhance customer engagement.
- Technical Selling: Prior experience in technical selling is essential. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of mining technologies and software solutions relevant to the industry. This includes familiarity with mine planning and design software, mining equipment automation systems, geospatial technology, and data analytics tools.
- SAAS Solutions: Experience selling Software as a Service (SAAS) solutions is considered an asset. Candidates with a track record of successfully selling SAAS products or services, particularly for the mining industry, will be at an advantage in this role.
