About The Role

The role is a senior hire in 10x’s Business Development team. The team is responsible for securing new clients in-region and building a solid pipeline of prospects. This role takes leadership and accountability for all new business opportunities across Australia. This is an end-to-end sales development role, building influence and the 10x brand in market, sourcing new business opportunities and relationships, designing solutions, scoping and negotiating proposals and ultimately, signing business and advancing 10x’s transformational client growth.

About You

You are well connected with a proven track record able to develop strategies and long-term plans for sales development to enable 10x to secure long-term and profitable partnerships with financial services institutions. You are a creative, experienced and successful originator and capable of identifying and generating revenue from new business relationships and source further business development opportunities through your network with senior leadership, Exco and Board members in financial services organisations across the region.

You are experienced in the end-to-end, enterprise technology sales process from building and forecasting pipelines through to managing contracts to a close. You will have a clear passion for transformation and leading-edge technology solutions, being inspired to change banking to deliver better and be a service that meets the needs of customers’ digital lives.

You relish opportunities to build footprints in new markets from scratch and are confident in working both autonomously and in collaboration 10x teams, such as 10x marketing team and our partner organisations.

Requirements

  • A balance of being both technically and commercially astute. A clear analytical thinker and problem solver with a proven ability to use the data available to make sound business decisions
  • The confidence to challenge the status quo and are able to engage customers with, transformational ways of thinking about their business and the future
  • Demonstrable experience of meeting and preferably exceeding software sales targets
  • The ability to quickly understand prospective client’s needs and to competently communicate both the technical and commercial aspects of propositions
  • Created and maintained trusted and lasting relationships and influenced key decision makers, particularly at C-suite level in client organisations
  • The energy, desire and capability to be part of a fast growth technology business developing enterprise grade software sales solutions for international and regional institutions and businesses
  • Strong CxO network and understanding of large and medium Australian financial service organisations, ideally including knowdege of surrounding region.

  • A very strong understanding of the issues facing retail banks regarding their legacy technology platforms
  • Excellent judgement and the ability to determine the long- and short-term risks to a business, balancing the known and secure with the new and potential for the future
  • Be able to demonstrate having built sustainable contracts with both short term build and enduring longer term commercial success and value, with appropriate mitigation where required.
  • Knowledge and experience of Banking procurement practices and sales lifecycle processes, typical for selling enterprise platforms into banks
  • An innate willingness and drive to do the right and make a client experience and relationship 10x better
