Description:
Our client is a leading & well established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy delivering engineering services in Structural, Civil, Forensic, Surveying and Geotechnical Engineering, who are now seeking a motivated and responsive Sales and Business Development person.
Your role will include:
- Identifying/targeting key decision makers within our serviced market segments
- Identify and target available projects
- Network and promote the business by attending various building industry related functions, exhibitions and meetings
- Represent the business by preparing and presenting presentations to various related stakeholders
- Professionally liaising with clients including drafters, builders and architects
- Preparing winning fee proposals (consistent with financial objectives) for both one off projects as well as repeat client acquisition
- Assist the General Manager to develop and grow the business
- Take ownership of the sales functions including pricing systems
- Drive strategic planning in conjunction with the leadership team
About you:
- Knowledge of the residential building industry in Victoria
- Direct experience selling within the residential volume housing market within Victoria will be highly regarded but not essential
- Knowledge in structural engineering principles and/or building construction – technical training can be provided for candidates that can demonstrate strong sales/BDM skill set
- The ability to work independently, as well as in a team
- Excellent time management skills
- The ability and drive to learn and to succeed
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
