Description:

Our client is a leading & well established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy delivering engineering services in Structural, Civil, Forensic, Surveying and Geotechnical Engineering, who are now seeking a motivated and responsive Sales and Business Development person.

Your role will include:

  • Identifying/targeting key decision makers within our serviced market segments
  • Identify and target available projects
  • Network and promote the business by attending various building industry related functions, exhibitions and meetings
  • Represent the business by preparing and presenting presentations to various related stakeholders
  • Professionally liaising with clients including drafters, builders and architects
  • Preparing winning fee proposals (consistent with financial objectives) for both one off projects as well as repeat client acquisition
  • Assist the General Manager to develop and grow the business
  • Take ownership of the sales functions including pricing systems
  • Drive strategic planning in conjunction with the leadership team

About you:

  • Knowledge of the residential building industry in Victoria
  • Direct experience selling within the residential volume housing market within Victoria will be highly regarded but not essential
  • Knowledge in structural engineering principles and/or building construction – technical training can be provided for candidates that can demonstrate strong sales/BDM skill set
  • The ability to work independently, as well as in a team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • The ability and drive to learn and to succeed
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
