Sales Account Manager

 

Description:

As a key member of our Sales Account Management team, you will be cross-selling and up-selling WP Engine's WordPress hosting services to existing accounts. This will be achieved using a consultative, data driven approach to achieve individual revenue quota each month and deliver positive client outcomes.

Successful candidates will be multifaceted, fast-paced, well organised, excellent with current customers, and enjoy growing an existing territory.

The Day To Day

  • Build a pipeline through referrals, cold-calls, marketing leads, relationship building, and business intelligence tools that we will provide.
  • Build proactive outreach campaigns in unison with our sales development and marketing teams.
  • Work directly with support and customer experience teams to support customer needs and growth.
  • Work independently to explain the value of our platform to prospective customers, but know when to pull in others to provide additional support.
  • Stay up-to-date on all products in the WP Engine portfolio in order to add value at every interaction.
  • Consistently use sales enablement tools to lead a deals' progression through the sales process and prioritise follow-up tasks. Salesforce organisation and hygiene as well as operational excellence will make the difference between good and great.
  • Run platform demos with a deep understanding of how to set them up and customise to the needs and priorities of your audience.
  • Work closely with the legal team when handling quotes, proposals, SOWs, and procurement processes.
  • Engage the sales engineering team and leadership to help close the deal with a positive client outcome.
  • Use confirmed sales methodology (Sandler) to progress, negotiate, and close deals efficiently.
  • Provide accurate sales reports and updates to management and executives weekly/monthly.
  • Live WP Engine values and put customer and company above self.

Your Expertise and Passion

  • 2+ years of direct sales experience with a successful track record of exceeding assigned individual quota.
  • Experience with the Digital Marketing industry, ideally Web Content Management or hosting.
  • You're a natural on the phone. That means you enjoy a lot of sales activity via the telephone, as well as face to face meetings.
  • You understand that WP Engine is a specialised platform and it's not about the sale, it's about what's best for the customer and for WP Engine. Success means that we win when they do.
  • The ability to tailor communication style to the audience.
  • Previous WordPress experience is a plus, but not required.
