A Hospital Doctor PHO / Principal House Officer Registrar Senior Registrar Fellowship (PFY) is sought to join a prestigious hospital in Australia. - The appointee will work at a Registrar capacity as outlined under Consultant supervision.
- The appointee will work within the Rheumatology multidisciplinary team as outlined within this tentative outline.
- The appointee will undertake two general rheumatology clinics weekly. There are weekly X-ray and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- The appointee will undertake a research clinic a week screening patients who are potentially suitable for recruitment into clinical trials and reviewing patients already participating in trials (as per hospital/ departmental needs)
- The appointee will be responsible for providing medical supervision when required for patients receiving treatments as part of a clinical trial in the Unit at the hospital. This activity will also be supported by the research nurses.
- The appointee will participate in the training and teaching of junior medical staff, help with the continuing professional development of other members of the clinical team, and other post-graduate educational activities.
- The appointee will be expected to participate in audit, continuing medical education and professional development, and annual appraisal. There will be opportunities for the appointee to attend specialist clinics as long as the defined rheumatology clinical service commitments are met.
