Retail Sales Assistant

 

Description:

Located in the Perth CBD, nextra Cloisters newsagency is seeking a highly motivated individual to join an enthusiastic, customer-service driven and product-focused team for between 25 and 38 hours per week, or 2 casual positions of approximately 20 hours per week. This is a casual/part time shop assistant position and would ideally suit a uni student or someone looking for work whilst studying, however other candidates are encouraged to apply.

This is a hands on customer focused position requiring a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Daily duties of successful applicants may include (but are not limited to):

· Engaging, serving and assisting customers both professionally and efficiently

· Handling payments including EFTPOS and Cash registers

· Maintaining, replenishing and merchandising of stock and product displays

· Operation of computerised stock management systems

· Opening and Closing tasks including OH&S, cleaning procedures and register balancing

The successful applicant will need:

· Prior retail experience

· Lotterywest experience is preferable but not essential

· Exceptional customer service skills

· An ability to get things done and a strong work ethic

· A passion for selling

Starting times of between 6:00am and 6:30am are part of the position requirements and there is no night or weekend work involved.
