An exciting opportunity has become available within the Swinburne University of Technology Student Residences team for a Residential Life Coordinator!

The Residential Life Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of residential life activities, whilst also providing support for Student Residences. By leading the Resident Advisors Team, the Residential Life Coordinator will ensure there is sufficient focus on academic performance, personal wellbeing whilst also maintaining a supportive community living environment.

Being an integral part of the Swinburne Student Residences Team, this role is based on campus in Hawthorn.

• Experience in residential life within a student accommodation or similar environment, particularly providing leadership and support to young adults, and having a strong understanding of the personal and academic needs of students transitioning into university life, and students from diverse backgrounds
• Demonstrated experience in planning, implementing and reviewing programs which support the academic needs of students and, encourage community mindedness, good citizenship and personal growth
• Demonstrated capacity to lead and work successfully in a team of young adults and work autonomously when required
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training programs in areas of leadership, diversity, communication and other interpersonal skills
• A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
