As a Resident Engagement Officer, you will welcome residents, their visitors and people delivering programs and services, and ensure that unwelcome visitors cannot access the environment. You will be required to form excellent rapport and maintain relationships with both residents and the people who are supporting them. In addition, you will:

Proactively engaging with residents in an informal capacity, working from a strength based, client focused framework

  • Monitoring well-being of residents through informal engagement and communicating issues to support and/or tenancy staff as they arise
  • Work collaboratively with tenancy, property and support workers to collectively coordinate the support that residents need to sustain their tenancy and improve their health and wellbeing
  • Brokering linkages and facilitating referrals to external services as required
  • Maintaining, utilising and updating the range of systems that support the safety and wellbeing of residents e.g. Communications Log, Critical Incident Reporting, Daily Sighting Register, Visitor Log, Visiting Professionals Register
  • Monitoring entry and exit of all residents, visitors, contractors and visiting professionals to the building and managing visitor access as required
  • Monitoring CCTV and responding to and managing incidents as and when they arise
  • Establish and maintain community partnerships and work collaboratively with partner agencies who deliver programs and services to residents in the building
  • Assist community partners in facilitating events, programs and other initiatives from the communal spaces, including managing room bookings and access to building amenities
