About the role:

An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated Research Program Manager, who can preferably demonstrate a history of project management and qualifications in IT or computer science. The successful applicant will establish and oversee the coordination of a large-scale multidisciplinary research program across the participating medical research institutes (Florey, WEHI, Doherty, Monash Uni, MIPS, Peter Mac) and public hospital operating theatres and intensive care units that span across the Australian academic landscape. This research program is funded by 2 MRFF grants that commenced in 2022.

The candidate will be responsible for:

• Establishing and maintaining a secure platform (Microsoft Teams) for resource sharing.
• Protecting sensitive project data using advanced threat protection, data loss prevention and data retention mechanisms of Microsoft 365.
• Designing low code programs in Microsoft 365 power platform to automate repetitive tasks.
• Organizing and collating minutes from critical monthly and quarterly meetings

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

• Degree or Masters in IT or computer science
• Experience using Project Management Software, preferably Microsoft Project
• Experience managing projects including reporting and financial budgets
• Experience working within a medical research environment or government sector
• Demonstrable multiple project management experience and expertise
• Demonstrable risk management experience and expertise
