Reporting Analyst

 

Description:

The Reporting Analyst will play a key role within the wider (and continually growing) FP&A team to provide key insights into data integrity/accuracy and handle functional queries with the overall aim of optimising financial performance and providing insights into performance drivers across the business units. The role has a genuine data optimisation and reporting focus, supporting the maintenance/enhancement of Oracle reporting and the Oracle EPM modules. The Reporting Analyst works with the Finance Business Partners for each unit on what they need and how they use the data, developing and standardising reporting for the group.

Key Duties include:

  • Run integrations, business rules, and other administrative tasks for forecasts in the EPM platform.
  • Liaise with a range of internal/external stakeholders to enhance their experiences using the EPM platform.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity regarding data for the wider accounting function.
  • Troubleshoot bugs & functional errors to proactively identify and resolve systems issues.
  • Consistently test the platform(s) to enhance and update operating procedures on a monthly basis.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to the Finance Business Partners.
  • Utilise cloud-based reporting solutions (Smartviews, FRS Reports) to continually streamline reporting and accounting processes.
  • Work closely with Finance Business Partners to build reports and designs to assist with stakeholder engagement/process improvement.

About You

To be considered for this position you will be a well-rounded, analytical finance professional, motivated and results orientated, with experience in commercial accounting and data optimisation tools.

The ideal background/skillset required:

  • CPA/CA in progress or completed (preferred).
  • Experience in EMP implementations, business intelligence or systems accounting (preferred).
  • Experience with Oracle EPM platforms or similar (TM1, SAP, BPC).
  • Tertiary qualifications in finance/accounting.
  • A genuine passion for reporting, systems accounting and data optimisation.

  • Well-developed financial modelling / analysis sills.
  • A strong communicator with robust stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
