Release Manager

 

Description:

This unique opportunity is available for an Environments and Release Manager for a largescale IT Program, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration, stability, and availability of all IT environments critical to the success of the program.

 

This will encompass all the infrastructure, applications development, and data environment, covering Performance and Release Management.

 

For This Role You Will Be

 

  • Setting and enforcing the minimum engineering standards required to reliably operate environments during delivery.
  • Engaging with platform and delivery teams to uplift engineering practices where required.
  • Design and establish solution-wide observability to enable program-wide visibility of service health and fast investigation of incidents and issues.
  • Design and implement an incident response process to remediate environment issues in integrated test environments.
  • Working with delivery teams to uplift CI/CD practices.
  • Develop and maintain the IIA Commercial Enablement environment strategy in alignment with the Trans-Tasman strategy and ways of working.
  • Estimate and track environment costs to inform program decision making.
  • Planning and sequencing of environment provisioning and integration.
  • Gathering environment requirements from program stakeholders and converting them into an environment design.
  • Detailed environment and integration design for each shared environment.
  • Working with our Risk and Cyber teams manage sensitive data in test environments.
  • Collaborating with program test teams to understand and implement their requirements.
  • Attend and contribute to program stakeholder workshops and meetings, keeping stakeholders appraised of progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Work collaboratively with all participants in software development projects and is supportive of developers and testers as they set up their build dev/test environments.
  • Drive decision making and agreement on any trade off decisions within the agreed scope of the initiative, aligned to the agreed business solution
  • Facilitation of large groups of multiple cross functional business areas in person and/or remotely
  • Manage ambiguity and educate to ‘take people on the journey’ of change required
  • Constructively challenge and influence respectfully to ensure desired business outcomes are achieved for the initiative as per the agreed business solution
