The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient centred; evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Balmain Hospital is looking for Registered Nurses to join our team. A minimum of 2 years hospital experience would be desirable. Balmain Hospital is a sub-acute hospital specialising in rehabilitation medicine and care of the older person. Our multidisciplinary team promotes a collaborative and compassionate culture, where patient and family centred care is at the heart of what we do. Successful applicants are provided dedicated orientation and training to ensure they are supported in their transition into our team. All staff are provided with many other educational opportunities which are encouraged to further develop their skills and knowledge in this specialty area.

• Has a current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).

• Can demonstrate understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.

• Possess evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems.
