This is an exciting opportunity to deliver workforce and skills outcomes for the Goulburn community. We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and strong connections across the region. You need to be able to show you can foster productive collaborations across industry, community and/or education and training providers. You should have excellent project management skills, and well-developed analytical and conceptual skills. You should be able to work independently while operating as part of a State-wide team and regional network to drive forward the agenda for skills. An understanding of regional industries, training and employment issues will be well regarded.The Victorian Skills Authority has just launched its inaugural Victorian Skills Plan and a Regional Skills Demand Profile will soon be released for Goulburn. You will play a key in realising the ambitions of the Skills Plan and work across the region to drive the implementation of opportunities set out in the Regional Skills Demand Profile.The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Supporting the implementation of the Regional Skills Demand Profile
  • Leveraging the work of the Regional Taskforce to leverage, build and sustain regional and local collaborations to drive forward skills in the region
  • Work with stakeholders across industry/business, community, education and training institutions and government to ensure programs and projects deliver outcomes for industry and communities.
  • Other tasks as directedThe VSA was established in 2021 to better understand Victoria's dynamic skills needs, and to improve connections with industry to deliver better outcomes for Victorian learners, employers and communities. We value collaboration, engagement, and evidence-based innovation.
