Recruitment Consultant

Description:

Top Office Group Pty Ltd is a highly successful Queensland owned second generation family business operating in South East Queensland for over 34 years. Specialising in recruitment and training, our service delivery and values have allowed us to develop a solid blue chip client base. We have been a contracted supplier to Queensland Government since 1995 as well as Ipswich City Council and leading private organizations in the region.

We are currently seeking a Recruitment Consultant to join our successful Ipswich recruitment team. The ability to multi-task and operate with a sense of urgency, whilst managing competing deadlines and sharing our passion to ensure an optimum solution for our clients that delivers beyond expectations is essential.

The range of duties will focus on the day-to-day recruitment co-ordination of a busy temp (labour hire) desk, including:

  • Recruitment search, selection and short listing for white collar office-based roles
  • Writing and posting job advertisements
  • Screening, interviewing, reference checking and maintaining a database of suitable candidates
  • Preparing employment documentation and scheduling pre-employment medicals, inductions and other requirements as needed
  • Maintaining our database and undertaking associated administration tasks

Whilst we welcome applications from experienced Recruitment Consultants, we also recognise that the ideal applicant may be an experienced Office Administrator / Office Manager (ideally with some experience assisting with recruitment functions) looking to develop and focus their career in a HR/recruitment environment (and can offer a mentoring program with our Senior Recruitment Consultant to support your professional development pathway to a Senior Recruitment Consultant role).

Key skills and experience that will support success include:

  • Previous experience managing multiple and competing deadlines in a high-volume office environment that is client service focussed
  • A keen sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to multitask and think on your feet
  • Confidence, credibility and integrity
  • Social media savvy to support recruitment sourcing strategies
  • Solid all-round administration skills with experience using MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook), supported by the confidence to learn and use a range of new computer systems and accurate keyboarding skills
  • Previous white collar recruitment agency or internal recruitment experience is desirable (but not essential)
