Description:

This vital and exciting role will be responsible for supporting the achievement of Swinburne Student Life’s values, mission, and goals. The role of the Receptionist is to be the first point of contact for all enquiries from students, staff and other stakeholders through various communication channels including face-to-face, phone, email, and live chats. The Receptionist will also be required to undertake various administration duties supporting Swinburne Student Life.

The Receptionist will demonstrate strong customer service, knowledge, and experience with the ability to make a valued contribution to the team within the respective service area. They will represent Swinburne Student Life and the University to industry, community, and government.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated relevant experience in reception and administration
  • Demonstrated ability and capacity to contribute to the development of a positive and co-operative team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to negotiate and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to adhere to policy, procedure and regulation
  • Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage competing priorities in a customer service environment
