Description:
You'll be working predominantly from Royal North Shore Hospital with the opportunity for rotations to other Medical Imaging Departments within NSLHD.
Participation as a member of the Radiology Information System/Picture Archiving & Communication System (RIS-PACS) Team to support and maintain both system availability and the high diagnostic standard of imaging within hospital sites across Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD).
The incumbent will support the end-user in rectification of imaging presentation or relevant issue diagnosis and response, to maintain clinical accuracy of imaging made available for radiology reporting, and as returned to the end referring practitioner. In consultation with various teams, the position will undertake system analysis, redesign, and modify system maintenance procedures to ensure the integrity and reliability of the RIS-PACS environments.
The incumbent will take a lead role and/or participate in key projects, create training documents, provide end user training and participate in quality assurance tasks to ensure best utilisation of systems. The position relies on effective communication within Medical Imaging, other departments, and vendors to promote and develop professional relationships.
The incumbent will be required to provide after-hours support and be part of an on-call roster for NSLHD.
From time to time, the incumbent will be required to work in collaboration with the CCLHD RIS-PACS Team to administer the shared Karisma RIS instance.
