Description:
My client is seeking a Procurement/Purchasing Specialist for a short term contract, with potential to extend.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide procurement expertise on policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance of procurement guidelines and requirements during the procuring process.
- Advise and assist with the procurement system and its process.
- Expedite timely closure of orders by internally expediting stakeholder.
- Solicit bids and prepare approval recommendations.
- Identify and establish preferred suppliers.
- Purchase goods and services according to established standards, ensuring value for money.
- Negotiate product savings with suppliers and explore process improvements.
Skills, Experience And Attributes
- Demonstrated strong ERP software skills (SAP MM)
- Experienced within an engineering focussed environment, highly regarded
- Develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships with stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of purchasing to allow you to hit the ground running.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within a similar role
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
