Project Officer

 

Description:

We are seeking a passionate Policy and Project Officer to join our Crown Lands Policy team to undertake and provide support for the development and implementation of a range of strategic policies and projects.

In the role you will be supporting delivery of the division’s legislative and strategic reform programs for the use and management of Crown land and natural resources. Key activities will include supporting policy development by preparing briefings and advice in response to Government and Ministerial priorities and requests.

About You

In this role you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Undertake policy and project activities that contribute to the development of policy initiatives, legislation, reviews, programs and services to achieve the strategic objectives of Department.
  • Participate in project teams for a range of projects to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of policy delivery and inform policy development.
  • Research, analyse, and scope responses and advice in the form of briefs, policy and discussion papers to respond to Ministerial, Cabinet or Departmental requests.

To be successful you will have knowledge and be able to understand and interpret relevant legislation. You will have previous experience with project management, be self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
