Description:
Menzies School of Health Research is looking engage a Project Officer to undertake a pivotal role with our Diabetes in Pregnancy project. This position is designated for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander female applicants only. The role will report to the Senior Research Officer.
This role will work with the team to support engagement and co-design activities with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait women, communities, and health professionals to reduce diabetes risks before, during, and after pregnancy.
This role will build relationships with the study’s stakeholders, provide administrative support (contacting participants, promoting activities, recording study data) under the direction of the Senior Research Officer. The Project Officer will support participant recruitment, and where required, collect quantitative and qualitative research data in accordance with ethical, cultural, and confidentiality requirements.
This part-time role is based in Darwin but will require regular travel in the Top End and flexibility with work patterns during travel weeks. It will suit someone who enjoys working with communities to support healthier lifestyles and who is passionate about community-led approaches.
This role will commence in early 2023.
