The primary focus of the role is the planning and design development phase of a medium density essential worker development.
Responsibilities
The Affordable Housing Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of project management across a schedule of Affordable Housing projects from project inception to post-delivery evaluation including
- Development and achievement of a detailed Project Execution Plan;
- Establishing and driving sound project governance structures, frameworks and compliance;
- Exploring and delivering innovative opportunities to partner and optimise project delivery;
- Forging and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Proposing and securing Federal and State Government funding arrangements;
- Negotiation and success in a wide range of project approvals processes;
- Procurement and management of all necessary consultancies and contracted services;
- Ensuring projects are planned, managed, reported and completed on time;
- Project estimation, financial planning and accounting within budget;
- Management of construction contractor during delivery phase
- Cost accounting and budget management;
- Ensuring project compliance with all relevant codes, policies and legislation; and
- Creating and maintaining a high project profile and a positive WCC project identity.
- Reporting to Project Control Group and WHS committees as required;
- Ensuring project compliance with legislation in particular Work, Health and Safety legislation, National Construction Code etc.;
- Writing reports and other communications as requested.
Essential Requirements
- Degree Qualifications in Construction Management, Architecture, Land Economics or Project Management.
- Extensive experience and autonomous provision in Project Design, Project Management, Construction Management and Contract Administration.
- A sound and critical understanding of planning and development legislation, requirements and approvals processes for complex, high value, multi-level residential projects.
