What is the purpose of this role?

The National Development Group (NDG) is a group of dedicated individuals who are responsible for providing growth to the McDonald’s Australia business and its partners, through a focus on profitable restaurant growth and responsible reinvestment. We support growth with the delivery of world class design outcomes that meet our customer’s expectations.

As Assistant Construction Project Manager you are accountable for assisting in construction management of Time, Cost, Quality and Safety for New Restaurants and Remodel’s of existing McDonald’s restaurants. Partnering with key internal and external stakeholders to execute projects to the highest quality and deliver on key performance indicators.

What will my key accountabilities be?

  • Partnering with a Construction Project Manager you will be assisting in project management of new store and reinvestment projects:
  • Partnering with internal departments and external stakeholders on the execution and management of multiple projects from Concept to Opening, with strong focus on Quality, Costs, Time and Safety.
  • Manage the development of project documentation, ensuring compliance with design and building standards and governing authority conditions.
  • Management of Building Contractor/ Nominated sub-contractors and equipment suppliers through the tender process, negotiation, evaluation and appointment.
  • Manage project budgets and cost reporting.
  • Project administration and record keeping.
