What you will be doing:
- Follow and complete all relevant tasks stipulated on the Project Task List
- Manage project budget allocation and maintain project cost plans for assigned projects.
- Monitor progress of projects to ensure that milestones and performance indicators are met.
- Negotiate any changes of scope via variation submission to the client and obtain client approval prior to the commencement of works during the life of the project.
- Monitoring sub-contractors to ensure company guidelines are met/maintained.
- Making sure client expectations are met in terms of quality
- Ensure work sites are compliant OH&S Regulations
- Management of all site work, including subcontractors, client requirements and all labour relevant to site
- Responsible for finding further cost savings throughout the life of the project
- Liaise with manufacturing and ensure issues are raised, clarified and resolved between all parties (client, manufacturing, centre or landlord) swiftly and in the best interests of the company
- Time, quality and cost restrictions to be adhered to and completion of defects in a timely manner
Selection criteria:
- Formal qualifications such as Civil, Structural / Construction Management (desirable)
- Formal management training is desirable, particularly in OH&S, communication and project management
- Completion of OH&S Induction Training for Construction Industry Workers
- Sound hands-on working competency in Project Management for multiply sites within the building construction industry including (but not limited to) structural steel, industrial, commercial projects, material handling and associated contract administration
- Ability to use own initiative and take ownership of tasks
- Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritise tasks
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
