Description:

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager , you will play a senior role in lead and manage project activities that deliver business and/or technology solutions, enabling Westpac to achieve regulatory compliance within Financial Markets. The purpose of your new role will be to ensure oversight of delivering derivative regulatory change within Financial Markets and Group Treasury, through ensuring solutions delivered are efficient, effective and sustainable in supporting the Group to be compliant with regulatory obligations related to the broad range of activities undertaken by Financial Markets.
Responsibilities will include:

  • End to end project management of a project of work to deliver solutions/capabilities that meet business requirements and realise benefits within agreed scope, time, cost and quality.
  • Direct the identification, monitoring, reporting and escalation of risks and issues and/or problems associated with services and/or delivery in the project, including challenging and influencing the business clients and stakeholders as required to enable the achievement of project deliverables and benefits.
  • Engage, inform, influence and negotiate with stakeholders, particularly the service delivery teams who will be responsible for the technology services after project completion, and key business stakeholders to ensure those stakeholders remain engaged and committed throughout the project.

What do I need? 
A successful candidate will have a proven track record leading and managing medium/large scale projects, with significant experience delivery technology solutions in the financial services industry (ideally 3+ years). Working experience across projects totalling $20M of indicative costs upon a duration of up to 18months will be highly regarded, with medium project impact’/ risk across 5 business units. You will be able to collaborate with divisional leaders and senior business stakeholders, while having a strong knowledge of implementing frameworks and mitigating any risks or obstacles that may occur. You will be accountable for managing financial, resources, supplies and risk to strive to meet deliverables and timelines, subsequently advising how to increase efficiencies.
