About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an exceptional individual to represent us in delivering the responsibilities that have been agreed by Sydney Metro and City of Parramatta in the Sydney Metro Interface Deed. In this newly created and impactful role, our Sydney Metro West Project Interface Manager will be the main point of contact between Council and the Metro West Project (the Project), and coordinate our involvement with the project. This position’s overarching goal is to ensure the best outcomes for both organisations.
 

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Coordinate Council’s consideration of all matters arising from the Project including Council’s strategic, regulatory, operational and business functions. This requires internal leadership, including understanding of overriding corporate goals, cross-organisation collaboration, and stakeholder management, to help determine a unified position for Council.
• Engage with business units across Council, the Project, and key third-party stakeholders and work collaboratively to understand individual and shared needs and concerns, taking measures to maintain effective relationships throughout the project.
• Provide input to the Project to minimise impacts to Council and our community, and help develop solutions which will protect Council’s interests while also being suitable for the Project
• Identify and analyse emerging project risks and threats and recommend mitigation, minimisation and/or elimination strategies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of program/project management standards and tools to successfully manage the delivery of projects in an efficient and outcome focussed manner.

About the Person

Pivotal to this position is the ability to communicate and build relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Therefore, the successful individual will need to have exceptional relationship and customer management skills, and the ability to negotiate and influence others.
 

Additional requirements:
 

• Suitable tertiary qualifications in either project management, architecture, engineering, property development, building science or related degree.
• Minimum of 5 years post graduate project management experience within a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Large-scale and/or mixed use urban renewal project experience.
• Client side project management experience would be beneficial.

What’s on Offer
This is a temporary full-time position until August 2022. We are offering an attractive salary from $135,449.24 – 150,149.13 p.a. plus Super. City of Parramatta also offer excellent employee benefits which can be accessed by the successful candidate.
