Project Implementation Officer

 

Description:

Latrobe Regional Hospital have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Project Implementation Officer to join the Research Unit team on a part time basis for up to 3 years with immediate start at 0.4 to 0.6 EFT (negotiable) with flexible work hours.

Direct reporting to the Research Manager at LRH and also working with collaborative teams at Uni Melbourne and VACCA this role plays an important role in implementation of the Healing the Past by Nurturing the Future project at Latrobe Regional Hospital.

The successful applicant will need:

  • Educational qualifications related in health, social work, psychology or other relevant discipline; or equivalent experience;
  • Experience working with or understanding of health and social services;
  • Excellent skills using Microsoft Office suite
  • Effective and culturally appropriate interpersonal skills, e.g. active listening, empathy in all verbal and non-verbal communications;
  • Excellent engagement skills, ability to be persuasive and obtain buy-in from stakeholders;
  • Excellent organisational and team skills - planning tasks, time management, ability to work independently, follow established procedures with limited supervision and contribute positively to an effective team
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities;

It is also desirable that the individual have:

  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and/or communities;
  • Experience or training in undertaking research activities, including interviewing, group consultation, and interpreting findings.
