About North East Link
North East Link is the biggest ever investment in Melbourne's north-east – changing the way people move around Melbourne.
Victoria's longest road tunnels will fix the missing link in our city's freeway network, take 15,000 trucks off local roads a day and slash travel times by up to 35 minutes. We'll also complete the Ring Road in Greensborough, overhaul the Eastern Freeway, build Melbourne's first dedicated busway and the North East Trail – more than 34km of walking and cycling paths.
About the Opportunity
Be part of a transformative infrastructure project for Victoria, with multiple Project Engineer roles in the North East Link Program's Delivery Freeways!
As our Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting all project management activities within a specified delivery package from design to delivery and commissioning. This position will see you working closely and collaborating with fellow internal project teams and members of the general public to ensure alignment to the project vision and purpose.
Reporting to the Project Manager, this position will be vital to ensuring that design, procurement, and delivery considerations across the whole of the North East Link Program are implemented to scope, time, and cost requirements. This position provides the successful incumbent with the opportunity to provide advice and solutions that will benefit the constructability and usability of Victoria's largest road transport project to date.

Travel and time spent at a future site office (Bulleen, Heidelberg or Watsonia) may be requirement of this position.
About You
You will possess a relevant engineering qualification and a current Victorian driver's licence. You are highly motivated to succeed in a dynamic and ever-changing environment that will provide you with the support and opportunity to be continually challenged as you develop in your career.

  • Experience in assisting project teams to meet scope, time and cost obligations across the design and construction of road projects from a client or contractor side
  • The capacity to identify technical issues, undertake technical investigations and provide recommendations and reports detailing appropriate resolutions
  • An understanding of occupational health & safety requirements, environmental responsibilities, and commercial obligations in the context of a transport project
  • A can-do attitude to take on any challenge and the eagerness to work collaboratively within team environment
