Position Summary

Downer Water Services North is undertaking a program of works for Queensland Urban Utilities. With numerous Water infrastructure projects underway, Downer team are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to provide support to QLD Operations team in a fulltime permanent capacity. Working from Fortitude Valley office and reporting to the Delivery Manager, Project Engineer will undertake construction of Water projects so that they comply with and meet expectations from clients, communities, environmental management requirements and other legislative requirements

THE ROLE

• Deliver expert technical advice to the Project Delivery and wider program teams
• Share input to reporting on project performance and progress, including development of solutions to issues that compromise attainment of agreed performance targets
• Colloborate in the identification of potential hazardous site activities and ensure appropriate procedures and controls are implemented
• Connect with the design process to ensure the timeliness of the completion of drawings approved for construction
• Produce accurate cost reports and forecasts in accordance with program timetable

ABOUT YOU

• Experience in site delivery of Water/Wastewater Construction
• Degree qualification in either Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• Demonstrated experience in management of Site Engineers and subcontractors
• Understanding of relevant specifications, quality analysis and problem-solving skills
